Media Manager
Horuph Studio Usage Guide Version 1.0.0
Where to Find It
Open the admin console, then go to Media Manager. This section is your central library for managing uploads used across the site.
Media Manager has three main tabs:
- Images: Image library (PNG/JPG/WebP, etc.)
- Files: File library (PDF/ZIP/etc.)
- Downloads: Download statistics and reports
Common Controls (All Tabs)
- Grid / List View: Switch how items are displayed.
- Search: Type at least 3 characters to filter results.
- Sorting: Sort by date, name, size, type (ascending/descending depending on your UI).
- Filters: Apply filters (like tags and other filters) to narrow results.
- Clear Filters: When filters/search are active, a clear (×) button appears to reset quickly.
- Pagination / Load More: Load the next page of results (depending on the tab).
Images Tab
- Upload: Add a new image to your library.
- Generate (if enabled): Create images using the AI generator (permission-based).
- Tags: Open tag management and filter images by selected tags.
- Item Details: Click an image card to open its details panel.
- Edit Image (if available): Open the built-in editor to adjust the image.
Editing Images (If Enabled)
When you click Edit on an image, the editor opens and you can apply changes such as cropping, resizing, drawing, text, and filters (depending on the enabled tools).
- Save: Saves changes to the image (may overwrite the original depending on your settings).
- Cancel: Closes the editor without applying changes.
Files Tab
- Upload: Add a new file (PDF/ZIP/etc.) to your library.
- Tags: Manage tags and filter files by tags.
- Item Details: Click a file card to open its details panel.
Downloads Tab
This tab is for reporting: what was downloaded, how often, and when.
- Date Range: Filter report data by “From” and “To” date.
- Sorting: Example: Most downloads, least downloads, latest download, or file name.
- Search: Search by file name.
- Results Table: Typically includes file type, size, downloads count, last download time, and created date.
- Pagination: Results are shown page-by-page.
File Details (Images & Files)
Clicking an item opens its details panel. This is where you manage metadata and actions for that item.
- Title: A human-friendly name for the file.
- Alt Text (images): Used for accessibility and SEO. Describe what the image shows.
- Caption: Optional visible text shown under images in some templates.
- Tags: Assign tags for filtering and organization.
- Actions: Depending on your UI: edit, download, copy link, open, delete (permission-based).
Swap/Replace File (If Available)
Some items allow you to replace the actual file while keeping the same record/token and metadata. Useful when you want to update an asset without changing references on pages.
Tags
Tags help you organize and quickly filter media items.
- Add Tag: Create a new tag with a name (required), optional description, and a color.
- Shared Across Languages: Media tags can be shared across all languages (if your system is configured that way).
- Filtering: Select one or multiple tags to show only items that match.
Tips
- Use clear titles so you can find files later (e.g.
hero-banner-2026,product-a-front). - Always set Alt Text for important images (logo, hero banners, product shots).
- Keep file sizes reasonable to speed up page loads.
- Some buttons (like Generate, Delete, Edit) are permission-based and may not show for every user.
