Horuph Toolbar
Horuph Studio Usage Guide Version 1.0.0
What It Is
The Horuph Toolbar is the always-available shortcut bar for admins. It is designed so you can jump to tools, consoles, and common actions without leaving the page you’re currently reviewing.
Tool icons can be added by the core system and by installed addons. What you see depends on your permissions, installed addons, and whether you are on a content page or a console page.
Two Toolbars
- Content Pages Toolbar: a compact top bar shown on normal website pages (public pages).
- Console Pages Toolbar: the console top bar + the addons/tools drawer (fast access inside the admin console).
Left Side Basics
- Console switch (
</>): opens admin tools / switches you into the console context (when available). - Language: shows the current locale (e.g. En). Click it to switch between installed languages/locales.
- Home: jumps to the main home page (useful when you are deep in console pages).
Language Switcher
The language menu lets you switch between installed locales (example: English (US) and فارسی (IR)). Switching locale affects what you see in locale-based content and settings.
Main Menu (Quick Navigation)
The toolbar menu gives quick access to common admin destinations (what appears may differ by install):
- Global Settings
- Dashboard
- Install Addons
- About and Help
- Change Password
- Logout
Addons Drawer (Console Quick Access)
In console pages you can open the Addons drawer to see a list of available tools and addon consoles. This list is built dynamically from installed addons and core tools.
- One click access: jump to a tool like Media Manager, Design Tools, Queue Worker, etc.
- Icon-only or icon + label: if your system has a “Show toolbar tools labels” option, you can switch between compact icons and readable labels.
- Context-aware tools: some tools are shown everywhere, and some only appear in specific pages (content pages vs console pages).
Notifications & Badges
Horuph includes a built-in notification system. Addons can report attention-needed items (errors, pending work, queued tasks, warnings, etc.). When an addon has notifications, its toolbar icon can show a badge counter so you can spot it instantly.
- Badges are addon-driven: each addon decides when it should notify the admin.
- Click to act: opening that addon/tool usually takes you directly to where the issue can be reviewed or fixed.
Show Blocks (Content Pages)
On content pages, admins can enable Show Blocks. This reveals block zones and controls so you can build pages visually (similar to “web parts” in systems like SharePoint).
- Add blocks: use the + button to insert a block into a section.
- Edit blocks: use the edit icon to change a block’s content or settings.
- Visibility scopes: blocks can be shown or hidden at different levels (examples you may see):
- Every Page (global blocks)
- This Page (page-only blocks)
- This Section (section-level visibility rules)
- Reorder: blocks can be moved to different positions (drag & drop if enabled in your build).
How Addons Extend The Toolbar
When you install new addons, they may add new toolbar tools automatically:
- Console tools: appear in the Addons drawer and can open the addon console pages.
- Content tools: appear on website content pages for quick editing/building (if the addon supports it).
- Selective availability: an addon icon may appear only on certain page types or only for certain roles.
Tips
- If an icon is missing, it’s usually a permission issue or the addon is not installed/enabled.
- Use the toolbar while reviewing pages: you don’t need to “go back to the dashboard” for every small change.
- If you use multiple languages, keep in mind many settings/content are locale-specific.
